Our list of clients is ever-growing, and we have worked with some major television networks, including; BBC, Sky One, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and The Discovery Channel, as well as repeats being shown on Bravo, Dave and UKGold.
UK Action Cars supplied the vehicles for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, ‘Beat the Boys’ segments. This involved converting the vehicles to a two-person operation by moving the accelerator pedal and linkage systems so one person would operate the speed whilst another would take control of the steering.
The show pitched a number of celebrities against the shows hosts, Ant and Dec, across a specially designed obstacle course at Rockingham Motor Speedway in the UK. Celebrities included Harry Hill, Al Murray, Jamie and Louise Redknapp, Trinny and Susannah, Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.
Our very own TV show following the lives on, and off track, of the team. Filmed during late 2012, early 2013, this series shows the teams capabilities of on-camera work and confidence.
In support of the ‘Banger Boys’ TV show, we built and supplied two cars for the BBC breakfast show presenters to go Banger Racing at Belle Vue stadium.
We worked on Brainiac from series 2 through to series 6 and were heavily involved. We supplied the majority of the caravans being blown up and even participated in a few stunts ourselves.
We also appeared on Brainiac Test Tube Baby Live as contestants on the C02 challenge, where teams competed to propel a wheelchair as fast as they can on fire extinguisher power alone.
Here we took a standard, Ford Sierra Sapphire and transformed it in to a Dukes of Hazzard lookalike – voila, the Dukes of Essex! This Max Power Magazine stunt was to recreate a famous jump from the 80’s TV show.
The Bad Boy Racers are a group of 8 young men involved in car crime who Eddie takes under his wing, giving them a chance to turn their interest into a mechanic’s qualification.
We built, transported and helped maintain a National Banger for the winner of the series at Arena Essex.
We have worked on multiple projects with the cast of Fifth Gear over the years, including; Banger Racing, Dizzy Rascals, Ultimate Town Car, Rolls Royce Armoured Personnel Vehicle and the Reliant Robins.
UK Action Cars supplied 10 Rookie Bangers to be raced at Wimbledon Stadium to help promote the release of this Playstation 2 video game.

We sourced, supplied, prepped and painted two London taxis for the BBC Children in Need Greasenders special.
We sourced, supplied, painted and prepped a number of Nissan Micras for the ‘Stock Car Racing’ series on the Nissan GT Academy show on Channel 4.
We were contacted by Car Dealer Magazine and asked to build a car for Banger Racing. When we asked what car, we were told a Hyundai I10! It turns out this was part of a publicity stunt to mark the end of the Scrappage Scheme.

Short commercial for Marks and Spencer featuring Jodie Kidd Banger Racing at Wimbledon Stadium.
We provided a range of race cars for the Nitro Circus team to go ‘Banger Racing’ at Wimbledon Stadium, London.
Not strictly part of the UK Action Cars credits, Cecil’s Rent A Rookie supplied 10 cars for Boyzone star Shane Lynch and his Stag Party mates. The group Banger Racing event was held at Bovingdon Raceway and also featured Shane’s sister, Naomi who was part of the Irish girl group Bewitched.
Something slightly different here, for a pilot TV show called ‘Take Off’. We were tasked with painting and prepping a plane to be used as a prop in the show.
The Magicians is a new show that we are working on. We will be supplying all the vehicles for the ‘Grand Illusions’ segments, including; Car off a cliff, Bus Smash, Trailer Transportation and 52 Car(d) Trick.
Series 2 starts Saturday January 7th at 6.35pm on BBC One.
For this we supplied a caravan to be blown up live on the show.
Top Gear is another motoring show that we have worked with a lot over the years. Starting with the BBC Sport Relief in 2004, we also supplied all the vehicles for the People Carrier and Camper Van racing at Arena Essex where we liased with some of the country’s top Touring Car Drivers, including Rob Huff.
UK Action Cars also supplied the cars for the 4 hour endurance race – in a field!
We initially just did the pilot episode for the Sky One show, Vroom Vroom but were soon called up when the show was commissioned. We then worked throughout the whole of series 1 and series 2, as well as the live show, Overdrive.
Our main involvement in the show was with the ‘World Series’ and the ‘Cat and Mouse’, where not only did we provide the vehicles but we were contracted as precision drivers and stunt drivers for such things as the roof slide, the ramp jump, car shortening, handbrake slides and much more. Steve also found fame as the driver of the ‘Cat’, and even gets a recognition on Wikipedia.
We also provided vehicles and personnel for other segments, including; ever wondered and need for speed.
